In a huge leak, Russian site j-phone has revealed the full product lineup for Sharp for 2018. The lineup includes five phones, ranging from a flagship model to a low-end model.
From the picture below, we see that each model has a codename: E-F1 for the flagship model, all the way down to E-L1 for the low-tier model.
It appears that Sharp is looking to make a name for itself this year, as these devices (especially the flagship model) have pretty good specs included. Let’s take a look at the 5-phone Sharp lineup.
The full 2018 Sharp lineup
Wow, all of the models in an easy-to-view table as well? How nice of Sharp! Let’s dive deep into the specs.
From the table, the first thing we see is that Sharp intends to launch their lineup of 5 devices all on the same day: June 18. We expect to see an event with this sort of release.
The second thing is the price. It looks like Sharp is trying to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus with the specs and price of its flagship device. Yet for €999 ($1225 USD / $1575 CAD), we get almost the same specs as the two flagships from Samsung, but at a steep price increase. In comparison, the Galaxy S9 launched at $719 USD and the Galaxy S9 Plus launched at $839.99 USD.
However with that hefty price, Sharp doesn’t hold back on the specs. We see a Snapdragon 845, a massive 6.0″ IGZO free-form WQHD+ (3040 x 1440) display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB with MicroSD), and a 3000-mAh battery.
The models after the flagship device range in specs, with the low-end model hitting a shallow €249 price point with relatively good specs for the price, including a whopping 4000-mAh battery.
Overall, we’re pretty excited for Sharp to make a comeback in 2018, and we are looking forward to this massive 5-phone lineup from the manufacturer.
