UPDATE: A user on Slashleaks has discovered the Antutu Benchmarks for the OnePlus 6. The image below features an overall score of 276,510. This makes even the iPhone X and Galaxy S9 look like outdated devices as the iPhone X’s highest score comes in at 224,538 and the Galaxy S9’s highest score is 224,207.
Update 2: Recent leaks suggest the OnePlus 6 will have a launch price of $749 USD / $965 CAD. This is quite a bit higher than the OnePlus 5T launch price of $499 USD / $645 CAD.
Update 3: Yet with the higher price point, higher specs are to be expected. According to recent rumors, the device will feature a Snapdragon 845 chipset. An 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage variant may also be released.
Update 4: The OnePlus 6 (codenamed NS NS P7819) has just been uploaded to Geekbench. If these scores are legit (and we believe they are), we could be looking at the flagship killer of 2018. Scores show 2535 in single-core tests as well as 8632 in multi-core tests. Currently, the leading phone on Geekbench is the Galaxy Note 8 at 1961 in single-core tests and 6477 in multi-core tests.
From the specs, we see that this variant of the OnePlus 6 will have the Snapdragon 845 as well as 6GB of RAM.
Update 5: The leaks for the OnePlus 6 are starting to become more regular, which means that the device will likely launch soon, and as we’ve seen recently, it could be shipping as soon as April.
The latest leak comes from always-reliable Evan Blass (@evleaks) who gives us a first glimpse of a skin that could be coming with the OnePlus 6.
Update 6 (04/04/2018): These updates just keep on coming! The latest leak comes from NashvilleChatterClass, where a user has discovered that the OnePlus 6 may ship with a new iteration of the OnePlus Bullets V2. The new earphones, named the “OnePlus Bullets Wireless”, could feature all of the same specs as the V2, sans the wires.
Update 7 (04/06/2018): We feel that we’re very close to the OnePlus 6 launch date. In a leak earlier today, we get a definitive look at the front of the device, as well as a confirmed Snapdragon 845 inside the phone:
Update 8 (04/08/2018): In today’s OnePlus 6 leak, we get two pictures of the device. Leaks are coming almost daily now, so we shouldn’t be waiting much longer for the device to launch.
The next photo is from mobile review site DXOMARK. There’s three question marks in place of the score, so it’s unclear whether the OnePlus 6 will surpass the Huawei P20 Pro on the ratings. There’s also a mysterious message on the bottom of the poster saying “see you soon”.
This week has featured a stream of new devices from brands such as Samsung, Huawei, and Nokia from their unveilings at the MWC 2018.
While the show has definitely stolen the spotlight, it doesn’t mean that leaks of other devices screech to a halt. To the contrary, it looks like even more leaks keep surfacing.
Possible specs and display of the OnePlus 6
In a leak earlier today which appears to have surfaced on Chinese site Weibo, a pair of images show what could be our first look at the OnePlus 6. The device is rumored to be arriving as soon as June of this year. If these images prove to be real, we would be very excited about the design and specs that we see.
The first image appears to show the OnePlus 6 rear case, which features a reflective gray color and a fingerprint scanner below its dual rear camera setup. In this regard, it looks like OnePlus could be taking after Samsung’s Galaxy S9 with its re-positioned fingerprint scanner.
As for the front of the OnePlus 6, the second image shows a screenshot of some of the specs that could be featured in the device.
From what we see in the image, it looks like the OnePlus 6 could launch with the traditional Android skin created by OnePlus, Oxygen OS. It could also feature 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and the OnePlus 6 might be shipped with Android Oreo 8.1.0.
It also looks like OnePlus is copying the iPhone X notch, which will house the earpiece speaker and the front camera. This will be a welcome upgrade from the OnePlus 5T as OnePlus looks to decrease the size of the bezels and increase the screen size even more.
Note that this is a very preliminary leak as the official launch of the OnePlus 6 is still a few months away. We will update this article as we hear more news on the new flagship from OnePlus.
