Update 2: The P20 Lite launch video has leaked early. View it here:
Huawei is set to release the P20 lineup (P20 Lite, P20, P20 Pro) on March 27 in Paris. Yet leakers have already given us pretty much everything we need to know about the devices.
P20 Lite hands-on
In this most recent leak, we get a video of the P20 Lite hands-on, as well as multiple photos showing the exterior of the device.
These pictures come from a string of leaks over the past week or so about the phone. First, we had the TENNA leak, which featured a stunning blue color variant of the device. Then, we had two separate photos of the front and rear of the phone. Finally, we received official images in a Huawei press release.
Just today, another leaker has surprised us with a short video of a person showing off the exterior of the device:
The video shows us exactly what the press release featured in the P20 Lite. We see a dual rear camera setup, with the fingerprint sensor situated on the back. We also see the Huawei logo placed on the chin of the device, as well as the typical iPhone X-style notch on the top of the display.
Huawei P20 Lite specs
While all of the specs aren’t confirmed just yet, we have gathered that the phone will ship with:
- Android 8.0 Oreo
- 5.8-in display (1080 x 2280)
- Dual rear camera (16MP + 2MP)
- Kirin 659 chipset
- 64GB internal, expandable up to 256GB via microSD card
- 16MP front camera
- 4GB of RAM
- 3000 mAh battery (non-removable)
We will update these specs as they are confirmed. While the P20 Lite does have an aesthetically-pleasing glass back and front, we don’t think the device will sell nearly as well as the P20 and P20 Pro.
From recent rumors, we can expect the device to have a launch price of about €370 ($455 USD / $580 CAD).
Will you be grabbing a Huawei P20 Lite as soon as it launches, or will you choose one of the other models in the lineup? Let us know in the comments!
