It’s been a wild year for Huawei, however it looks like the company is just getting started. Only a month after Huawei unveiled the P20 lineup, they’re at it again with another flagship: the Huawei Honor 10.
Update 04/17/2018: New color options (blue, black, and gray-green) have been leaked for the Honor 10! View them all in the gallery below.
The Honor 10 will come in four variants (COL-AL10 / COL-TL10 / COL-AL00 / COL-TL00), which were released by TENNA, China’s regulatory branch for mobile services.
Huawei Honor 10 design
We recently saw leaked images (which you can view in our gallery below) of the exterior of the Honor 10. These images show the front of the device with a physical home button on the chin, as well as a OnePlus 6-style notch on the top of the display.
All of the Honor 10 variants will have a 5.84-inch IPS LCD display (2280 x 1080). They will all be the same size, coming in at 149.6 x 71.2 x 7.7 mm and weighing 153 g.
We previously thought that Huawei would have a similar vertical rear camera setup as the recent P20 lineup, however it looks like they went with a horizontal setup instead. On the back of the Honor 10, we also see a neat gradient color from blue to purple which would help the device stand out.
Huawei Honor 10 specs
Thanks to the TENNA leaks, we see that all of the Honor 10 variants will differ only by the amount of RAM, internal storage, and LTE bands inside of them.
All of the variants will be powered by the Kirin 970 chipset (2.36GHz A73 x 4 + 1.84GHz A53 x 4), alongside a fairly large 3320 mAh battery. The devices will also ship with Android Oreo 8.1.
The Honor 10 variants will feature a 24MP front-facing camera, as well as a dual rear camera setup (16MP + 24MP). The rear cameras will be capable of shooting 1080p video.
Here’s a quick look at the difference between the variants:
- COL-AL10: 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, or 6GB RAM and 128GB storage
- COL-TL10: 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage
- COL-AL00: 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage
- COL-TL00: 4GB or 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage
Unfortunately, it looks like none of the variants will support microSD cards, so we’re stuck with the options they give us.
The Honor 10 will be unveiled at Huawei’s launch event on April 19th. There will also be an exclusive launch event in London on May 15 for the device.
